Our Services

RiTA is the UK’s dedicated centre for enhancing rural responses to domestic abuse, stalking, and broader VAWG/C issues. We collaborate with local authorities, commissioners, services, and community leaders to co-create practical, place-based solutions that build on existing strengths and make change feasible in rural settings. We do not provide frontline services; instead, we advise, facilitate, connect, and empower partners to improve strategy, coordination, and outcomes for rural survivors. Every initiative is customised to your specific context, scale, and resources.

We recognise that rural budgets are limited, and staffing capacities vary. We adapt our work accordingly, phase delivery, and help identify partnership and funding opportunities. We recognise that the expertise needed to create effective and impactful Coordinated Community Responses (CCRs) is right there in your community, and we want to work with you to identify and fully utilise that expertise. This is where good practice becomes embedded and sustainable, leading to economically efficient change. Whether you need a light-touch review, a facilitated workshop series, or a multi-phase rural strategy program, we’ll shape the support to fit your goals and budget.

Let’s Work Together

If you’re a commissioner, service lead, policymaker, practitioner, farming or rural community organisation, funder, or corporate partner with a rural footprint, we’d love to talk. Get in touch to explore how we can support safer systems and stronger outcomes for rural survivors.

Join RiTA

We are building national networks. One to bring together commissioners and policy leads to become a collective voice for change; another to connect specialists in rural services (all those services needed for an effective CCR) to share experiences, ideas and challenges to collectively become solution-focussed drivers for change. Do you want to be part of the RiTA Network? Please contact us now.

Solution Focused Initiatives to Tackle Abuse

Systems Change & Strategy

Are your strategies truly built for rural realities, or are you applying urban solutions to places they were never designed for?

At RiTA, we help transform your approach using rural insight, evidence, and innovation, building survivor-centred systems that reflect the people, places, and practicalities of rural life.

Learning & Development

Solution Focused Initiatives to Tackle Abuse

Are your rural teams confident and curious or are they stuck with one-size-fits-all training that doesn’t reflect their roles, learning styles or realities?

Too often, training is generic, intermittent, and delivered in formats that fail to capture and engage learners. At RiTA, we co-design flexible, trauma-informed programmes that truly reflect the context, learning needs, and lived experiences of rural professionals and communities.

Survivor Voice & Community Engagement

Are rural survivors helping to shape your services, or are their voices still absent from the systems that affect them most?

We support you in engaging with rural survivors and communities in a safe, ethical, and meaningful manner for truly place-based responses that build safety and resilience.

Creative Solutions & Innovations

What if your most powerful rural breakthroughs came from doing things differently, not doing more of the same?

At RiTA, we bring bold ideas, practical tools, and new approaches and frameworks that help you reimagine your local response. Innovation is essential in rural areas particularly where limited resources demand creative, resourceful thinking and collaboration.
